The One To Talk To!
When I decided to open a Real Estate Company, I wanted people to know that there was one person who was responsible to them. That’s why I Used My name, A. D. Cantelmo as the name of my Company. My full name is Anthony Dominic Cantelmo, most people call me Tony and I want you to know that I am the only person you need to talk to about any issue you have when it comes to my Business.
Service is Our Business!
I have been in the service industry my entire life. Out of College, I bought a Delicatessen in Laguna Hills called “Valentino’s”. That was my first lesson in dealing with the public and my introduction to the importance of “CUSTOMER SERVICE”! When people walk into your store, they expect to be treated with respect and they want your undivided attention. If they don’t get the kind of treatment they want, they never come back. I learned that when you are waiting on a customer, you give them your attention and forget about other distractions until you are done with satisfying their needs.
Lessons Learned!
Later I became a General Contractor and wanted to build Houses. Even though this was a very different Business then the Delicatessen, I realized very quickly that if you did not give people what they wanted you would never sell a house that you built. Again Customer Service was as important in Building Homes as it was in the Delicatessen.
Learning the Real Estate Business!
When I started my Real Estate Career, There was so much competition that one of the few ways to stand out was to give people Great Customer Service. Most of the Real estate industry lives by the numbers. Satisfying the customer is not Key in making money, only the number of prospects you have counts. For me, that never made sense and was not satisfying.
Property Management!
When I decided to add Property Management to my Business, in fact make it integral in the Business, my experience in Customer Service and as a Contractor was a perfect fit.
Managing Properties!
I found that most Property Management Companies were not concerned with caring for the Property. My approach is to make sure the Property is kept in the best shape possible. The best way I have found to do this is to communicate to the Tenant not to let small issues become larger issues.
Attention to Detail!
I visit properties and have a very involved relationship with the Tenants. If we work as a team, it is much easier to make sure the property is well kept. For my Clients, I have an open door policy. What I mean by that is I will always be available to talk and address any questions or concerns they have. Again, going back to “Customer Service”. I want My Clients to feel that when I am talking to them, they have my full attention.
