Enjoying the Christmas Season
Its Christmas time and every year I recommend
turning off the news and getting into the Christmas spirit. The world is a very
complicated place and when you turn on the news, you not only hear about what
is happening in your neck of the woods, but also every neck of the wood around the world. Information
is good, but you need to turn it off every once in a while and this time of
year is a great time to do it.
The world will go on without you and when you
return to the information overload, nothing will have changed. I have mentioned
before that if you watch TV shows from the 70’s, some of the same issues that
they were concerned about then, we are still talking about today.
When I stop watching the news, unfortunately
I really can’t get away from the everyday problems in the world. But for some
reason Hearing the news on the radio is not as frustrating as watching it on
TV. Maybe it’s because watching those TV anchors is so frustrating at times,
you really do want to throw something at you Television.
Now that I have most of my Christmas
decorating done, I can relax and enjoy the season. When I walk outside at
night, it is fun to look at all the Christmas lights and the creative ways that
people decorate their homes. I have two beautiful trees in the front yard, one
is a large Olive Tree and the other is an Elm Tree. I like to decorate both of
them. It is quite a bit of work, and my neighbors seem to think that I am crazy
as they watch me climb the large branches to get the lights just where I want
them. I think the climbing of the trees keeps me feeling young, and my
contractor background makes climbing trees a snap.
In my business of Property Management
in Orange County Ca. I will be making my rounds to all my Tenants homes this
week and next, wishing all a Merry Christmas and I hope all of them will be having
a great Holiday Season.
