Santa Claus is coming!
It’s
Christmas Eve, December 24th
2014 and to some, the most hectic day of the year. Many people trying to get
their last minute shopping done, others are putting together gifts for their
children, trying to get them ready for the tree in the morning. And then there are the folks trying to get
that flight to somewhere for Christmas day.
But have we ever thought how crazy
it must be at the North Pole?
Santa and
his Elves must be going crazy trying to put together the final touch on many of
those gifts that need to be delivered, but who is the real un sung hero in this
Christmas story. Is Santa really the one who keeps the Elves in line, or makes
sure all the packages are ready to go and loaded on the sleigh? Do we really believe
that the Jolly old man we all know as Santa is the brains behind this operation?
I have a funny feeling the force behind the scene is not Santa, but Santa’s
better half.
That’s right
I think the real maker and shaker is Mrs. Claus. No, we don’t see Mrs. Claus
in any movie, or we don’t see her bouncing children on her knee at the mall,
and she’s not making promises to make Christmas wishes come true, but I think
that without her, none of those wishes would ever end up under the tree. In
fact Santa probably would never get off the couch and in the Sleigh, if not for
Mrs. Claus helping him along.
Now let’s be
honest and as a man I can attest to the fact that we all can come up with some
reason to put off the task at hand. There may be a Basketball game that we must
see on TV, or that faucet in the bathroom that has been dripping for months
needs to be addressed. I’m sure Santa has good intentions, but he needs a
little
assistance in his motivation.
Someone must
keep all those Elves in line.
Can you imagine the nightmare it must be, making
sure the Elves get the proper breaks and that they take their lunch and dinner
on time. And who is making sure that the Reindeer are playing nice with
Rudolph, those Reindeer games and all.
Mrs. Claus, that’s who!
We may never
find out, what really goes on at the Claus residence, even though I know that
TMZ has reporters station at the North Pole trying to get the dirt on the
Christmas couple and I’m sure that there will be a disgruntled Elf that will
write a tell all book.
Mrs. Claus
will go on being the real hero that no one knows about. I hope that when she
gets Santa and the Reindeer off in the sleigh and the Elves tucked into bed,
that she takes a North Pole
