A Credit report Up date
I want to report
back on the Credit monitoring companies, Credit Karma, and Credit Sesame. If
you remember, a few months ago I used Experian to check my credit and did not
realize I signed up for a fee based monthly monitoring. I tried to get my money
refunded by Experian, but they were not customer friendly at all. In fact I
wrote the CEO of the company and received 0 responses from him. This company is
a very poor company when it comes to caring for its customers and I will never
use them and I suggest no one use their services.
I did some research
and found Credit Sesame and Credit Karma had good reviews for free credit
scores and limited monitoring and I tried each one and promised that I would keep
you informed of the how the service of each was. I continue to be very satisfied with each
service. They give me a monthly credit score update. Credit Sesame’s score is a
little higher but both close. They both informed me of my credit being checked
and they have charged me nothing. You do get e-mail offers from their
advertisers, but it is not very intrusive and to me, worth whatever inconvenience
it may be. I still recommend these two companies.
In my business
of Property Management in Anaheim Ca. I tell my Tenants all the time to use
these two companies to keep track of their credit. That way when they need to
move, they will know where their credit is before they pay for a credit check.
Some Tenants end up paying for multiple credit checks for multiple applications.
If they know their credit, they can tell the Property Manager or Landlord what
their credit is before they have them run their credit and find out if it is
good enough to rent.
Knowing your
credit score is power that Tenants can use, and personally in my business of
Property Management in Orange County Ca. I appreciate it when people can tell me their
credit before we move forward in the application process. It can save both of us
time.
