What is stopping us?
Do you ever sit back and ask yourself Why you are not doing something
you want to do? All of us have those moments, but the successful people don’t
dwell on these thoughts, they act on them. If you watched the Super Bowl last
year, you heard the winning Quarterback Russell Wilson say that he always as
himself, “Why Not Me”? Think about that. Why does someone else succeed and not
you? And could that be you?
The answer is yes, it could be all of us, but there are things blocking
us from doing the things we want to do and doing them in a successful way.
The One big
mountain we need to climb over is our own feeling of doubt we have in our
selves. There are very few successful people, who found success easy or without
pitfalls along the way, but they had a dream and they persevered and it paid
off. The most common mistake that people make that holds them back is the fear that
others will think that their Idea is stupid, or their choice of career is a
mistake. The other question you should ask yourself is “Who cares”? That right,
who cares what other people think.
If you are surrounded by people who are constantly negative toward life
then get rid of them and find people who have a positive outlook. I always
remember, when I first started in Real Estate, and you see the Realtors who
stand around the office and just complain about the business. They never leave
the office or even try to make things better for themselves, they just
complain. I learned quickly that hanging around the office was a very bad thing
to do.
In my business of Property Management in Anaheim Ca. I talk to Tenants
all the time, who are afraid to try and buy a property, even though they want too. They are even afraid to
talk to someone to see it they have a chance to buy, or even try and find out
what they may need to do to buy a home. The problem, is they think people will
judge them, if they are not in a position to buy, but what they don’t understand
is people will do everything they can to help them, all they have to do is
reach out and ask for help.
People who want to help you, don’t judge you and
the people who judge you for trying to better yourself are not worth worrying
about.
If you are thinking of buying a home, and the only thing holding you
back is you fear that you may not be qualified, remember the Quarterbacks words
“WHY NOT YOU”.
