Wolf or Viking which Range
is best
Ok, I admit, this is my
fantasy, I would love to have a Wolf Range, but It is one of those luxuries
that is way down the line. The two top of the line Ranges are Wolf, that is
part of Sub Zero,
and Viking which is part of Middleby Corporation.
They both are
beautiful Ranges and for a person who loves to cook, it would be a great pleasure
to be able to have either one. I have
gone to a dealer just to drool over them and fantasize that I was preparing a
great sauce or cooking some meatballs over the Wolf gas burners and them the
reality of a $10,000 price tag brings me back to the real world.
Why should someone spend
$10.000 on a Range? Because they can and the products are not only beautiful
but they are a precision instrument. To a cook a Wolf or Viking range is no
different than a cabinet maker and their precision tools. Yes it is a luxury,
but this luxury will last for many years and bring you much joy.
In my business of Property
Management in Anaheim Ca. I have not had the luxury of managing a property that
had a Wolf or Viking range and I would not recommend putting one into a rental
property unless the property is in a home with a commercial kitchen and the
rents were in the $4,000 a month range and even then I’m not sure that putting
such a high end range would be a good idea. I don’t think that having one of
these ranges will make or break someone renting your property, and if you were
selling your property you will probably take a Wolf or Viking range with you.
These ranges are part of estates and are fought over in the will.
Even though to most of us, spending this much money on a Range is probably not going to happen, I recommend at least finding a dealer and looking at these beautiful instruments. Even though you may never buy one, just seeing one will make you realize why someone would.
