Let the Drama go
In our lives the daily grind can be a daunting task and so
many people get caught up in what I call the sheep syndrome, doing the same
thing every day that everyone else is doing. Get up, go to Starbucks or
whatever your favorite coffee hole is, go to work and come home and then start
it again all over again.
This every day, doing the same thing to get a check twice
per month can break the spirit of anyone who participates in this grind, but the
worst part is the drama that is created in this type of atmosphere.
People who are bored in life create other ways to make their
life more relevant and creating drama in the workplace is common and destructive.
Drama in the workplace creates bad feelings and a very uncomfortable atmosphere
and the people who are creating the drama become like a cancer that grows on
everyone else in the office.
The drama usually takes the form of always badmouthing the
business and the way things are run, and everything that happens is a disaster
instead of an issue that can easily be dealt with, and spreading rumors and
lies also is a part of creating drama in the work place. Since drama is like a
cancer, the only way to cure the disease is to cut it out, fire the employee, or
employee’s that are the problems.
In my business of Property Management in Anaheim Ca, I have
to deal with drama every day with Tenants and owners. The Tenants are
constantly complaining about the rent and how the home is run down, and the
owners complain about the Tenants. This type of drama is contained though,
because is starts and ends with me and neither side knows what the other side is
saying, so I’m the only one who gets hurt by this drama, because I have to
listen to it.
Drama can be a very destructive thing in our lives and all
of us can get into a bad habit of complaining and making things that we don’t
like worst then what it really is, but if we can catch ourselves doing this
type of activity and we can stop it before it becomes a habit. Then we will
have a much more peaceful life.
