Fixing up the Back Yard is fun
I spent quite a bit of time in my back yard this past 4th
of July and really enjoyed what I had done to spruce it up.
One of my favorite
items that I purchased was a tiki umbrella that I purchases on line at Walmart
for under $60.
Enjoying your back yard can be fun, but does not have to be expensive.
My patio furniture needed some sprucing up but the table and the frame of the
chairs were fine, all I needed were some new cushions, so I found some very
nice cushions for around $20 each a Sears and the furniture looks great without
breaking the bank.
Some fresh paint on areas that need painting and some
inexpensive plants can also make you feel you are in a beautiful tropical
oasis. I also needed some new stain on my deck and for around $30 I bought a can
of solid color stain and it made my deck look almost new, I also extended the
decking with not Redwood but regular Doug Fur decking and the cost was much
lower.
Enjoying your yard can be an inexpensive way to enjoy the summer
but you really don’t need to spend a fortune for new things. If you have under
$100 and are willing to do some work yourself, you can make your backyard feel
like the getaway that others travel hours to have.
Is it really enjoyable to get on the road for a 3 or 4 day
holiday and spend half your time traveling and the other half getting ready to
pick up and go home, why not use your home for the relaxing time you are
looking to create?
Think about the money you will save, and the money you
do spend, is to enhance your home where you can enjoy it over and over for the
entire summer and if you are like us in Southern California, you can enjoy your
backyard all year long.
