The top investment story in the last day or so is that
existing home sales increased to the highest level since 2007. This should not
be a surprise.
I looked at an interesting pole by Bankrate, that put buying a home as the
top investment over cash and stocks.
Now most investors don’t really consider cash as an
investment, but so many people are weary of putting their money in the stock
market dispite the huge rise, they would rather keep the cash at very little interest.

With the low interest rates for a home mortgage still in
place and the constant talk of interest rates going to rise, it is no surprise
that people who are tired of seeing their savings just sitting their with no
gains, decide to put their money in Real Estate for a relatively safe
investment. Even if the housing market declines, as a home owner you still
have the asset and there is so much you can do with home ownership.
In my business of Property Management in Orange County California, the Tenants in my clients homes are now looking seriously at a purchase since rents are continuing to rise.
