I find it fascinating how people love to read quote from
others, most of the quotes we read are from people we never met and who have
lived long ago. I am one who loves to read quotes and I even understand that some
of the quotes that are attached to a certain person were never said by that
person, but it does not really matter. The words are what are important and not
the speaker.
One of my favorite quotes:
“If you bring forth what is within
you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is
within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
This quote
is from Jesus and even if you are not religious this quote says so much about
our lives. We all are born with talents and knowledge that is within us, but it
is what you do with that talent and knowledge and how we all bring it out of
ourselves, that is what is important.
Quotes
like this can make us think, because most of the quotes we read are from people
going through a circumstance and the quote gives us an idea of what they were thinking
at the time and why they acted the way they did.
The best
thing about quotes is that they can inspire us in a way that allows us to think
and understand that people have gone through what we may be going through and
give us a perspective that we can overcome whatever hill may be in front of us.
In these
days of horrible acts going on around the world we can look back at history and find
others who have gone through similar situations and overcome.
