Thanksgiving week begins
Today Thanksgiving week begins and all the hustle and bustle
of the Holidays also begins. I was out food shopping this last weekend and the
stores were jammed with people also doing the same thing. Now for me, the pain
is over. I have all the food for the Holidays and I am ready for a Thanksgiving
day filled with food and Football. But for others they are preparing for a
Thanksgiving filled with shopping.
We will be treated with pictures of people rushing the stores and fighting for
limited offers. I look at this and wonder why. I have not been to a mall for years, the closest I get to a
store other then for food are their websites. It is so easy to shop now and
there is no stress, no one trying to sell you something you don’t want and no
waiting in line. I just bought on line last week an oven thermometer to make
sure my oven is the correct temperature, for the turkey and an instant read
thermometric to make sure the Turkey is cooked. I also joined the Dollar shave
club and now receive my shaving supplies in the mail, By the way, speaking
about the dollar shave club, the Shave Butter is fantastic. I may never go
shopping other than food again.
Another great thing is if I buy something from
Walmart on line, I can pick it up from my local Neighborhood Walmart. If you
have never been into a neighborhood Walmart, they are small stores that
basically sells food. And my favorite is the self checkout. I can be in and out
of that store in 5 minutes.
There is enough stress in life. And in my business of
Property Management in Orange County Ca. I see the stress all the time from
Tenants. Why put more stress in your life this Holiday season by fighting your
way through the malls. This year shop
online and use the Holiday to relax and enjoy your family and friends. Now I
understand that many people enjoy the crazy mall environment during the
Holidays, and I also understand that going to the mall on Thanksgiving is an
excuse to get away from the family. So If that’s what you enjoy, more power
to you, but if you want to find me, I will be relaxing and like I said at the
beginning, I will be eating and watching football.
