What kind of person are you?
I always enjoy reading list about
what people do. I wrote a while back about a list of things successful people
do. When I looked at the list, many of the things on the list were great things
for all of us. When I look at these lists I try and see what I do, or
what I can do to implement some of the good things on the list.
I use these lists to help me in my
business of Property Management in Orange County Ca. Trying to be a better
manager is very important to me and so often, it's the little things that can
make a big difference.
Today I read a list that was put out by Lolly Daskal President and CEO, Lead from within. I found the list to be
interesting and some things on the list I do, and some things on the list I
should do.
The list was about: Things that likable people do.
The first thing on the list:
Listen without interrupting
This is something that I need to work on. Sometimes when I am
listening, I am also thinking about what my response will be and I am not
always patient enough to let the other person finish before I respond.
#2: Smile without
smirking
#3: Speak without dictating
I also like this one; I would use the word “preaching”
#4: Give without receiving
This is good advice for all
#5: Enjoy without complaining
I think some people just enjoy complaining
#6: Trust without wavering
I think what is meant by this one is, when people trust you,
don’t let them down or betray their trust.
#7 Promise without forgetting
Politicians should read this one
#8: Forgive without punishing
This one is very difficult to accomplish. We may forgive, but
it is difficult to not want to punish the other person, at least a little
#9 Be honest without deceiving
This one confuses me a little. I’m not sure how you can be
honest, and also deceive people at the same time.
#10: Be positive without reservation
Being positive is always a good thing and being around
positive people will make you a better person?
This is a fun list, and in my business of Property Management in Anaheim Ca. I try and implement many of these things on the list.
