Landlord Monthly Management Cost
The cost of Management per month is 6% of monthly rent

Tenant Move in Cost
To acquire a new Tenant and move them into a Property, the cost is 1/2 of one months rent.

  Eyes are the Windows to the Soul

 

 

I love the saying "The Eyes are the Widows to the Soul" and I do find that if you look into someone’s eyes they can tell you so much about the person, but Windows are the eyes of the home and I love windows and it drives me crazy when people have beautiful windows in their homes and they cover them with window coverings.

 

In my home I have no window coverings except for the bedroom areas. I put beautiful plants on the outside of the windows to give some cover, but what is the use of having great windows if you cover them. I know that everyone wants privacy, but you need to be more creative in the way you get your privacy. On the outside of your windows, find plants that give you cover, but also are beautiful to look at. That way you not only get more privacy, but since your windows are clear from coverings you are creating a beautiful view to look at.  

 

There are so many different kinds of widows, you need to take the time to research what type you want. I love French doors with side windows that open, but I do not like grids that obscure the glass and also are a nightmare to keep painted. I have a French door with side windows that open with no grids and the material is fiberglass so there is less a chance of deterioration. I love this door and it is beautiful to look at and look through I also love windows that slide up and down instead of sideways, this way you can have them open from the bottom to the top, from the top down to the bottom, or both.  But these are my choices and there are so many choices that you can go crazy finding what are best for you. Some people like the box sun windows so they can put plants inside, but to me they just create area’s that things accumulate in and they become cluttered and are difficult to clean. I’m not a fan, and would not have one in my house.

 

The hardware on a window is also important. I like big hardware that is like trim on a wall, it gives an appearance of richness if you get the right kind. Think of the hardware on a window or a French door as you would a watch on someone’s arm, a nice watch is not jewelry, but it is a nice ornament to wear and it also has a function.

 

In my business of Property Management in Anaheim Ca. Many of my clients have replaced the windows and it does make a difference in the look of the rental property. There is nothing worst then the old aluminum windows that you have to fight to open. Tenants do like nice windows and they also like being able to open the windows without getting out the WD 40.

 

When you do decide to purchase windows, make sure you shop around and also remember, the installation is as important as the window itself. The last thing you want is a beautiful window that leaks. It take all the joy away from having a nice new window, so make sure the installer is experienced and has been around for a while in case they need to come back for a repair.
