Some things are just great
I always laugh when a food company comes up with a new
product and then puts Bacon on it. You can call it what you want, if bacon is
on it, it will be great, but it is bacon and not a hamburger with bacon. The bacon
flavor is so strong that it overwhelms everything else. If there is bacon or
butter on or in something, you know it is going to taste great. I don’t eat
bacon much anymore, but when I do, it is a very special meal and I love butter.
I had a Wolf hound and he (His name was Wolf) Loved butter also. If you cook
with butter, it will also be irresistible.
In my business of Property Management in Anaheim Ca. I am
always trying to be the best I can be. I wish I could just wrap bacon or put
butter into my business and make it perfect every time, but that just will not
work. There are Times when I think that no matter how hard I work at making my
business work for the best of everybody, it sometimes works best for nobody.
Now these situations don’t come up much, but they do happen every once in a
while and I have to fight through my frustration and continue to move forward.
I have found that the best way to attack any problem is to
take it one step at a time. If you look at a situation, there are times when
you can get overwhelmed and just getting started at a solution seems impossible,
but if you break a situation down and take one part at a time, the solution
does not seem too daunting and there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
When I used to do most of my work in the construction
industry, When you start to build a home and you look at a set of plans, if you
open the plans a look at all the lines and numbers, it can be overwhelming, but
if you take one step at a time and start with the foundation and then go from
there, all the lines and numbers start to come together. What looked like a
jumbled mixed up puzzle becomes a beautiful home.
Allow yourself the time to break everything down to its most
simple parts and take one part at a time.
When you do that, you allow your mind to start to create solutions and
everything becomes much clearer. I like to take in a situation and just stop
and close my eyes and concentrate on it for a few moments. It all seems to come
together. The mind needs quiet time in order to make sense of things. They say
that your brain is like a sponge and everything that we have ever seen or heard
is still there. That’s why sometimes people go through some type of trauma and
start speaking a language that they never spoke before. They may have heard
that language in the past and their mind just absorbed it. If we allow our
brains the time to contemplate any situation then all the experience that we
have had in our lives will come back and help us solve these issues.
That may sound simple, but when I used to played Baseball,
there were times when I would just concentrate before I walked up to the plate
for an at bat and I could see what was going to happen before it happened. Many
times it worked out exactly the way I imagined it. I don’t know why it works
that way, but the brain is an amazing machine and if we just allow it to
guide us, we will be much more successful in whatever situation we are trying
to solve.
Making our live great is never as easy cooking something with Bacon or Butter, there are no assurances that we will ever be great, but we should never stop trying and if for some reason we fail, then at least we know we can cook up some bacon and all will be great at least for a while.
