Real Estate is the best long term investment
When you watch the daily stock market ups and downs and
listen to the reasons that the market fluctuates, it can drive the average
investor crazy. I have people tell me all the time how great the stock market’s
gains have been and a pull back is healthy. (Not if you have just put your
money back in the market.) Many people
lost so much money in the crash, that they were shy in putting their money back
in the market and if they finally decided to go ahead and take the risk again,
they are getting hit again.
To me the stock market is built on bubbles and the
China bubble is starting to crumble. I am not a stock market expert, but it
seems to me that the stock market likes to build up and create these bubbles
and make as much money as possible, then when the crash comes, the profits out way
the losses. The calculations are made many years before the eventual crash and
the average investor has no idea how all this works.
I am not against investing in the stock market, if you
understand that you need to be a long term investor, but I still feel that if
you invest in the Real Estate market, you are much better off.
Think about what
you have if you invest in Real Estate, even if the Real Estate market crumbles,
you still have the asset and there are many ways to make money on that asset.
If you make your living with rental properties, people always need to have a
place to live. The rental market is very good right now for investors, but even
if rents go down, you still are able to have income coming in.
The most
important part about investing in Real Estate is that you control the
investment and you are not at the whim of sensitive economic data and jittery
stock investors.
Investing in the Real Estate market is not for the faint of
heart, but it is a very straight forward way of investing and you don’t need an
MBA to understand what you are doing. You still need to do your due diligence before
investing in Real Estate, just as you would in investing in any other
investment, but once you get the feel for it, and if you enjoy Real Estate
investing, there are many ways to make money and think of it this way, even if
all is lost and the Real Estate market crashes again, you can always live
in your investment, you can’t say that about the stock market.
