Why all Homeowners should attend a
“Home Show”
In my position as a Real Estate Broker and a General
Contractor, you could probably guess that I have interest in homes and anything
that has to do with Selling, Renting and improving homes.
New Innovations
Because of my
interest I love to see new innovations and talk to people who are representing
those innovations. When I talk to Home owners, whether they are Landlords or
own their personal residence, they all have interest in what improvements they can do to
their properties and what is affordable. I always recommend a "Home Show" when it
is in town. You can see some new and fun products and talk to contractors and manufacturers
to get an Idea if the product or service is for you.
Discovering, Learning and having fun!
I talked about the aluminum patio covers a few blogs ago and
the first time I came into contact with the new type of patio was at the
Anaheim, Ca home show. I was blown away by the product and I was able to talk to
the manufacturer’s representative about the product. Just walking around and
looking at all the new ideas can be inspiring and fun, even if you are not into the
position to do any improvements at the time of the show.
Get Ideas,
but think before you leap
When you do go to the show, I do not recommend you buy
anything on the spot. Remember the people there are the best sales people the
companies they represent have, so you may get caught up with the hype. What I recommend
people do, is if you like a product or service get all the information and go
home and think about it. If you want to move forward after your contemplation,
then make the call.
The next home show I found in Southern California is in
Pomona at the Fairplex and it has free admission.
